I’ll be the first to admit that I’m one of those girls that has more songs on her iPod from before 1990 than songs that are currently on the radio today.

“STOP SINGING IN THE SHOWER!!” can often be heard angrily bellowing through the bathroom door. But I’m too busy performing a concerto of cleanliness to hear the pleas of my siblings, my parents or my neighbors, for that matter, to hear their cries.

Everyone wants to meet their idols, right? That’s sort of a given. Even if you have social anxiety and the thought of meeting your idol makes you want to board up the door to your room and never leave the comfort of your bed ever again, something deep down still wonders what it would be like to meet the ones you look up to.

I recently cut my hair short and realized that doing so meant breaking up with my favorite long-hair hair products. 

When I started to hit puberty, I immediately knew that something was wrong.

I was de-cluttering my room the other day, and I realized something: I have an obscene amount of ticket stubs. I’ve been collecting my concert and movie ticket stubs for quite a few years now, but I didn’t realize how many I actually had until now.

I watched the movie St. Elmo’s Fire the other day for the first time in years and about an hour into it, I started bawling uncontrollably. If you’re not familiar with the film, St. Elmo’s Fire is about a group of recently graduated friends who are all still trying to figure out their place in life. Which is exactly where I am – still feeling my way through this seemingly endless abyss they call adulthood.
